I am a senior from Nutley, New Jersey.  The four years I have spent St. Peter’s Prep have given me the most formative and enriching experiences of my life and I attribute these experiences to the unique opportunities offered at the school.  Ranging from volunteering for a week in rural West Virginia, to competing in national academic bowl tournaments in Washington D.C., to spending a week at Georgetown University participating in their summer sessions funded by the generous Gerald Sheehan, the diverse opportunities this school offers have shaped me into a citizen of the world.  In retrospect, I value these experiences extremely highly, and I believe every boy who walks the halls of Grand & Warren should be able to participate in them.  Money should not restrict enrichment, and this is why my fellow classmates and I have founded the Global Opportunities Scholarship, a way for students who cannot afford these experiences to still be able to participate in them.  The experiences I have had at St. Peter’s Prep, have truly shaped me into a man for others, and we hope this scholarship will continue to help shape boys into Men for Others.
